I am a High School Physics teacher, currently teaching AP Physics B and Honors Physics. In previous school years I have taught Mathematics (remedial to advanced, pre-algebra to calculus) and Computer classes specializing in Microsoft Office, Visual Basic, and HTML.

I teach as a passion. I'm glad I get paid (my children like to eat), but the real motivation is moving just one student from confusion to clarity.

Here is what some of my former Physics/Math students have said,

"Mr S. is no doubt the smartest individual I have ever had teach a course that I have been in...yet he was the most patient and down to earth. He made it interesting and fun which in turn allowed me to learn more. I would take Mr. S. again in a heartbeat." [Tyler]

"It was a really interesting class and Mr. S. is a great teacher. He volunteered to help you whenever you need and whenever you have any question. I learned a lot from his class and I did really well in all my college Physics for Engineering classes. I love Mr. S. and I wish he would teach all the Physics classes in my future." [Logan]

"Learning Physics teaches you how to think. Mr. S. taught us how to use our minds to think critically in ways that I would have never before learned. I still use tips and tricks he taught us in my college classes, and honestly, sometimes it's the only way I can figure some of them out! All in all, it was my favorite class that I've ever taken. The lessons you learn in Mr S's class will more than likely stay with you forever and to some degree shape your life. It's because of him that I'm taking on a dual major in physics. Physics with Mr. S isn't just a class. If you listen to what he says and just try to appreciate and understand it, it can become a life experience." [Madison]

Microsoft Excel

I love Excel. It is powerful, flexible, and beautiful. It will do so much more than add a column of figures.

If you struggle with formatting a cell, I can help you make Excel do what you want it to do.

If you just can't figure out how to make the formula work, I can help you make Excel do what you want it to do.

If you need to automate a process and can't seem to figure out VBA, I can help you make Excel do what you want it to do.

If you understand Excel everyone in the office will think you are the smartest person they ever met. Call on me for all your Excel needs.

Physics

I teach AP Physics to High School seniors. AP means it is a college level course. Additionally, I teach a 9th grade Honors Physics class. This is aimed at a somewhat lower level than regular physics taught to 12th graders. I am degreed in Physics. I have been teaching for seven years.

A+ Great tutor, funny and kind. If I didn't understand the way he was showing me how to work a problem, he would rewrite it a different way to help me see the steps. He's super smart and really knows what he is talking about in trigonometry. I was super impressed because he showed up with his own identity sheet and can solve most of the problems in his head. He's flexible with his schedule and wher ...
