I am a High School Physics teacher, currently teaching AP Physics B and Honors Physics. In previous school years I have taught Mathematics (remedial to advanced, pre-algebra to calculus) and Computer classes specializing in Microsoft Office, Visual Basic, and HTML.
I teach as a passion. I'm glad I get paid (my children like to eat), but the real motivation is moving just one student from confusion to clarity.
Here is what some of my former Physics/Math students have said,
"Mr S. is no doubt the smartest individual I have ever had teach a course that I have been in...yet he was the most patient and down to earth. He made it interesting and fun which in turn allowed me to learn more. I would take Mr. S. again in a heartbeat." [Tyler]
"It was a really interesting class and Mr. S. is a great teacher. He volunteered to help you whenever you need and whenever you have any question. I learned a lot from his class and I did really well in all my college Physics for Engineering classes. I love Mr. S. and I wish he would teach all the Physics classes in my future." [Logan]
"Learning Physics teaches you how to think. Mr. S. taught us how to use our minds to think critically in ways that I would have never before learned. I still use tips and tricks he taught us in my college classes, and honestly, sometimes it's the only way I can figure some of them out! All in all, it was my favorite class that I've ever taken. The lessons you learn in Mr S's class will more than likely stay with you forever and to some degree shape your life. It's because of him that I'm taking on a dual major in physics. Physics with Mr. S isn't just a class. If you listen to what he says and just try to appreciate and understand it, it can become a life experience." [Madison]
