My name is Crystal. I'm an LSU alumna and a mechanical engineer by trade. I've been tutoring mostly math, science, and engineering courses on and off since college, and I really enjoy helping others learn. I started tutoring high school students about five years ago and middle school students about three years ago.
One of my teachers once said, "the best way to learn something is to teach someone else how to do it," and I tutor with that in mind. My style is more about making sure students understand the reasoning and methodology behind problem solving than it is about solving lots of problems in a short period of time. I encourage students to ask questions because your questions are the best indicators of what you know and what you're confused about.
