I was hired as the visual arts teacher for a middle and high school for eight years in a Georgia Metro Atlanta public school system. My instruction in middle and high school students in visual arts and art history courses included teaching fundamentals of design, drawing, painting, sculpture, graphic arts, photography, and AP studio classes. I was later appointed as Lead Art Instructor based on strong performances in team leadership and course knowledge. I supervised approximately 225 fine arts teachers in a public education system overseeing professional development, preparing curriculum, and monitoring budgets for P–12 teachers. Nine years later, after achieving my Specialist in Educational Leadership, I was hired as an assistant principal from 1999 - 2005. I was then appointed as the Coordinator of a performing arts center designing programs for three theatres including 51,000 students for the same public school system in Metro Atlanta. I achieved my PhD in 2004 in Elementary and Secondary Educational Leadership and Administration. I recently am teaching part-time for a Georgia University instructing Bachelor Of Science Courses to students aiming to become teachers in Georgia. I am certified in Georgia in Visual Arts (P-12) and Administration (K-12).
