My name is Jennifer and I am enthusiastic about grammar, language, and teaching.
I graduated from the University of Georgia and hold degrees in Microbiology and Pharmacy. I've had experience in teaching at the high school level in the sciences and have also been a tutor for college students. I've also spent many years as a Pharmacist, counseling people of many different ages and backgrounds. I have had coaching experience in sports and fitness, too, as I am a Personal Fitness Trainer. You could say that I've helped many people work toward many different kinds of goals in many ways!
I am also a graduate of the International TEFL Academy and received my Teaching English as a Foreign Language Certificate in 2012. This included practical experience with students at the ChiCle Language institute in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where I was able to help students with both conversation and grammar practice.
My approach to teaching is to focus on what give the most practical results. When learning a language, I have found that most students want practice with conversation, and I believe that this is because conversation is sometimes the most challenging part of learning a new language. Conversation practice seems to deliver the most practical results as it not only leads students to a better understanding of grammar but also gives them more confidence. This is what I like to see the most!
I love studying and teaching language and would love to help you practice conversation, grammar, or whatever your needs may be.
