Spring 2015 typical availability: Tuesday and Thursday after 7:00 PM, Saturday 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Sunday 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM.

I specialize in helping college students improve their study habits and their understanding of organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, and nursing chemistry. I have more than six years of experience teaching these subjects.

I take pride in helping my students appreciate and master the fundamentals, as well as the subtleties, of chemistry. I enjoy tailoring homework problems based on the textbook and the teaching style employed by their instructor. I am good at looking through previous exams to try to get the student prepared for the type of questions that they may encounter.

I prefer to tutor in a study room at a university or public library. On-line tutoring is also available by Skype or Google Hangout where I can screenshare my writing tablet to show how to solve chemistry problems in real-time.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Well worth the money — I have studied with Greg for just about 6 months. He is a very understanding and patient tutor. So far, I've been carrying an A in organic 2.. There's no way I could have done that without his help. ...
