Reading and writing are two of my favorite pastimes, and I consider it a wonderful privilege to have the opportunity to share them with others! I can offer an enthusiastic approach to improving both the technical skills and the enjoyment of writing in any style by focusing on positive motivation as well as proper writing elements.
I recently returned to the Atlanta Area after serving for two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer working in the South Pacific as an English teacher and Primary Teacher Trainer. I started that adventure shortly after I graduated from Valdosta State University in 2010 with a BA in Literature. While I attended VSU I worked as a peer tutor for writing, reading comprehension, and grammar in the university's Student Success Center. It was one of the best jobs I have ever had (along with the Peace Corps, of course)! I have also worked as an editor, staff writer, and reporter for several local and national publications while I attended school and during my time abroad. My young career has been full of using my reading and writing skills to find the best way to express myself and to help others to do the same.
I greatly enjoy reading and writing, and the opportunity to pass that eagerness to express oneself onto others. Still, I understand that learning to do these things takes time, patience, and some well-focus dedication. I am looking forward to helping you find the skills and excitement needed to accomplish all of your goals in using the English language to express yourself, too.
