I am a young and energetic girl who has just moved back to the USA after living in Spain for the past three years. I studied at the University of Georgia, where I obtained my degree in Spanish. After graduating, I moved to Spain to teach English in primary schools. Living and working in Spain was truly an amazing experience that impacted me personally in many ways. I feel I have an intimate knowledge of the Spanish language including an understanding of the cultural nuances that are so vital in knowing a language. This gives me an advantage when it comes to tutoring and teaching Spanish to others. When learning a language, it is important to reach beyond the classroom and textbook, to truly gain a working knowledge of that language. I believe I can not only help students improve their Spanish, but also share with them my experiences from Spain, which would enrich their learning experience. I love teaching and especially working with students on a one on one basis. I have tutored many students, ranging from young children to teenagers to adults. I believe teaching and learning should be fun and engaging while also focusing on results. I cater my tutoring methods based on each individual student's needs. In my experience, I've noticed that young children need innovative and creative lesson planning in order to achieve success. In the past I've employed techniques such as art, games and theater to interest and help kids learn another language. Every student is unique and in need of customized learning strategies tailored to their abilities and struggles. I'm a hard worker and strive to help students as much as I can. My passion is travel and culture and language exchange. I love helping people learn Spanish and English so that they can expand their ability to meet and communicate with people of different backgrounds and cultures.
