I have enjoyed a career in teaching for over fifty years. In addition to extensive teaching of biology, particularly genetics, I have taught writing, literature, and drama (my undergraduate majors). I have been the co-author of five science textbooks, author of over forty articles in science, history, and literature, and I have had twelve plays produced.
I like students. My goal in teaching has always been for my students to succeed. I believe that learning, while often hard work, should be fun.
Primarily, I am a "liberal arts" type of person, with wide interests and expertise.
