In five years of tutoring I have helped many students do well on tests in math, science, and biology. I have worked with children from ages 6 all the way to college. I will do whatever it takes to help you or your child learn the information they need to learn. I am available most of the time if you need anything. I am currently in school pursuing a degree in pharmacy. I am also one year away from a degree in pharmaceutical sciences.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

Algebra 1 is the study of anything from the concrete to the abstract study of mathematics. Topics include simplifying expressions, evaluating and solving equations and inequalities, and graphing linear and quadratic functions and relations. Real world applications are presented within the course content and a function's approach is emphasized.

Algebra 2

This course is designed to build on algebraic and geometric concepts. It develops advanced algebra skills such as systems of equations, advanced polynomials, imaginary and complex numbers, quadratics, and concepts and includes the study of trigonometric functions. It also introduces matrices and their properties. The content of this course are important for students’ success on both the ACT and college mathematics entrance exams. Students who complete Algebra II should take Pre-Calculus next.

Special Needs

As a special needs teacher, I feel it is important to work with children and young adults who need extra support, or require an advanced program of education, in order to complete their learning successfully. I work with kids with dyslexia to kids who are autistic. I believe giving any child a chance to succeed is important.
