I have an undergraduate degree and a master's degree from the University of Georgia, both in English with a minor in History and Journalism. I have taught part time as an adjunct instructor at Gainesville State University, North Metro Tech and Georgia Highlands College.
Although I have been a real estate broker for many years, I have also kept up my teaching skills, teaching in colleges since 2001. Since I have taught on the university level, I am aware of what the college courses require, and any tutoring that I do will be geared toward not only what it takes to pass an English course on the high school level, but hopefully to prepare the student for college courses as well.
Basic English is quite technical, and I tutor both in grammar, literature and basic writing. I try to work on the student's level and keep "pounding" until the light goes on!!
