My name is Angela. First and foremost, I am a mother. I have 4 children and 2 grandchildren. They have all had different learning styles and needed various learning tools along the way to be successful.
I have over 17 years of Early Childhood experience. I have previous experience as a home child care provider and director of several large childcare centers. As a director of a childcare center, I had the opportunity to help educate many children by ensuring they had the right tools to be successful. I believe that teaching children social skills is just as important as academics.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Florida State University. My concentration was in Applied Behavior Analysis. During this time I worked as a Behavior Tech in the homes of children who had autism. I also have experience working in a school setting with children with varying special needs, learning problems and behavior problems.
I currently have a master's degree in Counseling and Psychology and I am working on my associate counseling license (LAPC).
I am a firm believer in positive reinforcement for a job well done. Children need to be encouraged and celebrate even the small successes while working on those areas they struggle in.
I look forward to working with you and your child.
