Let me help you (or your student) excel in your studies, and meet your goals! I am certified in elementary and special education, and love teaching reading, phonics and math to this age group. I have taught elementary, middle and high school, as well as college-level courses, in health. I served as the Lead Teacher for special education in the Georgia Public Schools, and as the Director of the Academic Support Center in a private school. As the Director for Academic Support, I worked individually with middle and high school students with various disabilities, and helped them to develop the time management, note-taking, and organizational skills necessary to succeed in their academic endeavors. In this same capacity, I worked with high school juniors and seniors in preparation for the SAT.
I graduated from both nursing and law school with high honors, and can show you how to organize your material and study for great results. As we progress in our level of education, it is vital for us to learn how to teach ourselves the material we need to master, rather than to rely on someone else to "spoon feed" us. You CAN learn anything you want to learn, achieve the success you want, and develop a livelong love of learning.
I am a certified special education teacher, and have taught many ADD/ADHD students in the past.
I have a JD and graduated with honors in the top 5% of my class. I took Florida and Georgia bars and passed both the first time without any courses- just self study.
Currently certified in and have taught grades 1-6 for a number of years.
I have a great deal of personal interest in nutrition, and am constantly updating my research in this area. I also have a minor in this subject from Florida State University, and took quite a few higher level courses in nutrition. Additionally, I taught health and nutrition at a college to freshman students. I am extremely knowledgeable in this subject.
I taught elementary school for years, and am a huge fan of phonetical reading. I have been extremely successful in the past in teaching nonreaders with special needs in finally helping them to become avid readers, and to do so through many phonetical games, puzzles, and fun innovative ways of learning phonics. In fact, it is one of my FAVORITE subjects to teach!
I have taken the Praxis for certification in regular education as well as special education, and passed all tests the first time with high scores.
I am currently certified in elementary and middle school special needs teaching, and have both taught and tutored these students successfully for a number of years.
I have been employed in the past, and am currently employed part-time in a college academic success center where we teach students basic study and organizational skills, and am currently seeking to earn certification as an academic coach.
This is a basic academic aptitude test for nursing students to determine whether they are academically prepared for some of the math they will encounter in pharmacology courses, as well as some of the more rigorous science courses. I have taken this test, and graduated with high honors from nursing school.
