I am a recent graduate from Alliant International University and am pursuing licensure as a Marital and Family therapist. I have spent a great deal of time studying Psychology and working for in the IT department as both a technical instructor and a help desk analyst; I also supervise in both roles. Over the past four years I have had the opportunity to create and administer many classes for faculty, staff, and students and have even planned a two week "boot camp" session for our new employees. I also love working with children and have 6 nieces and nephews ranging from 1-12 years! My communication and interpersonal skills have become honed through my study of psychology and my jobs in customer service. I want my students to have a great time, but efficiency is also very important to me.
The areas I am most excited to tutor are anything computer related (I am a certified Microsoft Office Expert, A+ technician, and Help Desk Analyst), public speaking, and anything in the sciences, specifically Psychology. However, I was a Biology minor and have always done exceptionally well in the sciences. I am proficient in many other areas as well and am more than willing to work with you to meet your needs and give you more information about my specific skill sets!

I have spent the past four years working in the IT department at the college acting as both a technical instructor and a help desk analyst. I work teaching classes and solving problems on many things including security issues, hardware, software, networking, Microsoft Office products (everything except Microsoft Excel, and more. I have worked with ages and abilities ranging from students to the elderly. My technical certifications include Microsoft Office 2003-2010 expert, A+, IC3 Critical thinking, and Help Desk Analyst.
I am certified in Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007, and 2010. I use the program on a daily basis and have taught multiple classes on it including functions like organization, tasks, calendar, rules, contacts, and more.
With my job as a technical trainer and help desk assistant I have work with Windows versions 95, 98, XP, Vista, and Windows 7. I have conducted training classes in both Vista and 7 and use Vista, 7, and XP on a daily basis. I have experience customizing the operating systems, typical daily use, and troubleshooting.
I have taken multiple classes in public speaking and have a great deal of experience with it between my work in high school theatre and my role as a technical instructor for the past four years. I even created a training program for my new trainers addressing public speaking issues such as being comfortable, projection, diction, and more.
