I have been working in the field of science going on 13 years now teaching in the areas of Biology, Physical science, and Earth Science. I am an undergraduate Senior at the Western Governors University, with my major being Geoscience / Secondary. I will be student teaching at the high school in which I am employed January 2013, with my graduating date being on or around June 2013. While working in the area of science, I have also taught classes during the summer for 3 years where students use the computer to complete credits in classes of their choice. This program was for the county one summer, then for the high school for 2 summers. I have also ran my own after school education2020 class for one school year. I am a member of the Kappa Delta Pi honor society in education, and also have worked with students who have learning disabilities in collaborative science classes, so I know different methods of teaching that helps students become successful in the classroom.
I love all areas of science, from Biology to Earth science, and can help you succeed in all of them. I am a hands on type of teacher, loving to use visuals in the learning process. I have always felt that anyone can learn, you just have to find the right person who is willing to help you learn........ Science can be so much fun, whether you are looking at how a rock morphs into a new rock substance, or just wondering " how it rains".... it's all about gaining insight into our wonderful world through the knowledge it has to offer.
Thank you for giving me this opportunity to help your child feel confident about themselves as they enter the classroom knowing they can accomplish their dreams.
