English is a subject I enjoy teaching and tutoring. For many students, including native speakers of English, developing proficiency in English is a challenge. I encourage students to read daily and to read a variety of literature. This will increase their vocabulary, correct use of grammar, and ability to clearly and concisely express their thoughts and ideas both orally and in writing. I welcome the opportunity to tutor students in this subject.

Spelling

I am a certified teacher in grades Pre-K to 5th grade. One of the areas I love to help students is spelling. Sometimes spelling words correctly can be tricky. By reading a variety of children's literature and using a dictionary when writing sentences, this can help students to become familiar with the correct spelling of words and also introduce new vocabulary.

I am a certified elementary teacher for over ten years. To successfully learn subjects, such as math, reading, writing, etc. it is important to have good study skills. To begin, a student needs to establish a conducive time, place/environment, and identify the specific areas to focus on. Using a dictionary, flashcards, charts, etc. are good educational tools for developing study skills.

I am a certified professional with a Master's degree in education. I have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
My professional experience encompasses working with diverse student populations, teaching students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12, and tutoring adults.
