I graduated from Auburn University in 2005 with a degree in Music Education. Since that time I have taught choir and band at several schools.

I know how to play all woodwind and brass instruments. During college I played in several rock and country bands, and so I am proficient in many styles on the guitar. Being a voice major, I am a classically trained singer, but have also trained many singers in rock bands, country bands, and for Broadway musicals.

I have played guitar for the past 15 years. I have taught guitar for the past 6. My experiences include playing guitar in Broadway musical productions, rock bands, jazz bands, and many other types of settings. I play with a pick, but am able to teach beginners in fingerstyle guitar. I can read music as well as play by ear.

Music History

I graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Music Education. At Auburn we were required to take extensive amounts of music history. Since then I have taught many general music classes in which music history was a part of the curriculum.

Sight Singing

I have had extensive training with sight singing in college. Sight singing is also a commonly used skill as a music teacher.

I have a degree from Auburn University in Vocal Music Education.
