I am a recently retired school counselor with 21 years of experience as a elementary/middle school counselor. Before becoming a counselor, I taught elementary grades for 17 years. While teaching, I also tutored students at Sylvan Learning Center during summer months and after school. After teaching for several years, I realize that teaching and counseling were definitely related. I consider these two areas to be my calling and the last 38 years to have been quite rewarding. I would love to continue to work in these ares on a part time basis.
