I love teaching. Sharing my love of humanities and the culture of humanity. I have over 20 years' experience as a professional musician, and have worked as an Art Dealer, Pastor, College Professor, Language School President, and Army Bandsman. My expertise in writing comes from years of schooling and working on my Dissertation. My PhD will be in Public Policy and Administration, and has a strong focus on nonprofit management. I have served as a pastor for a large Methodist Church and created and ran programs to house chronically homeless and disabled individuals. As a musician, I have played Oboe, Saxophone and sang all over the world. I created a professional chorus that traveled from Hawaii to Washington, DC, and a summer camp for the National Youth Orchestra of Panama.
My goal in tutoring is not to only teach a student the subject requested, but also a love of learning and excitement in the process. Success is not only being able to pass a test, but understanding and learning to love a subject, or topic. It is this aspect of tutoring that makes my sessions so different. I individualize my lessons to adapt to the unique nature of each student and to fit their learning style.
I look forward to working with your student, whether for long term support, or just to prepare for one test. Students are our future and I will do my best to empower the students that wish for my assistance.
