I have been tutoring at the college level for more than three years at Georgia Gwinnett College. I enjoy the interaction with students, and definitely prefer the challenge of working on problems with the higher-level material such as calculus 1 & 2, linear algebra, discrete math, operations management (i.e. linear programming), probability, and statistics. I continually put in the extra effort required to be proficient in these areas by reading appropriate textbooks and doing some of the exercise problems in those books. More often than not, I do not need to reference a textbook to tutor. Hence, little time is wasted and more is accomplished in a shorter time frame. The rate I charge reflects the difficulty of the material I tutor, as well as the experience I have, and the speed with which I tutor to save you money.
I keep the tutoring sessions very light and upbeat, and concentrate on concepts to ensure the students understand the material and can do the work themselves.
I began tutoring in 2002 (Sylvan Learning Centers), after performing Operations Research work (problem definition, mathematical modeling, algorithm design, and computer programming) for many years at both AT&T and Lucent Technologies.
