Tutoring has become a fun and interesting way for me to stretch my brain and improve my ability to explain what you find confusing in ways you will quickly understand.

I have experience in quite a few different arenas, including fast-food, small business, auto maintenance, industrial manufacturing, non-profit, and home construction, all of which I can use to help you see the value in what you're learning and relate it to real life situations.

Science and math are my strengths, and I had some great teachers over the years. Because of this, I can help you enjoy some of the tougher subjects like I do. You can do it, and I am happy to help.

Algebra 1

This is one of my favorite subjects. And I'm glad to help you understand this foundational subject.

Algebra 2

Building on Algebra 1 is strange since so much of what's covered in this class seems very different. But I will gladly help you conquer it.

Chemistry

Chemistry seems foreign to many people. If you can cut through the language barrier, you'll see that it's mostly just applied algebra in a setting that teaches you about the building blocks of everything. I have always been fascinated by Chemistry and look forward to helping you understand it.

Microsoft Excel

I have used Microsoft Excel and related spreadsheets since the 1900s! I've learned how to use these programs through trial and error and reading tip articles and talking with friends. In college, I even started learning how to build custom interfaces and command buttons using Visual Basic in Excel.

I can help you learn keyboard shortcuts, how to format cells and pages, and use functions to unleash the power of this program for whatever you might like to use it for.

General Computer

I purchased my first PC way back in 1995, and have been poking around with them ever since. I can help you with finding features in Windows operating systems, simple maintenance procedures to help keep your system running well, and explain the functions and parts of your PC machine. I used to build my own desktop systems, so I can even help you learn more about how things work on the inside if you like.

Microsoft Word

Word is a great program for building documents from simple one page letters to thousand page books. There are many features included that most have no idea about - I can help you learn some of these features to maximize productivity and minimize head-aching frustration.

Microsoft PowerPoint

PowerPoint is a great way to build presentations and diagrams quickly and easily. I have experience ranging from simple house diagrams and signs to automatically timed full-tilt presentations with video and music. Chances are I can help you find the functions you need and become confident with this program.

Trigonometry

Trigonometry can be intimidating. But when you get the fundamentals down, everything starts to fall into place. I can help you get through the learning curve and make sense of the sometimes confusing language.
I can help you with the unit circle, angle trigonometry, conversions, radians and angles, trig identities and more.

Economics

Economics a set of theories about how people operate with each other in order to get what they want and need. We deal with econ every day when we see gas prices and grocery bills, as well as when we choose majors and work with children. Seem like a stretch? I'd be happy to help you understand both Macro and Micro Economics.

Elementary Math

Are you confused by the worksheets your child brings home from school and why they might try to train your child that way? I have experience teaching children number sense and I can help your child gain confidence in math and understand the building blocks for future learning.

Bible Studies

I was raised in a Christian home, and my parents sent me to elementary and high schools that required Bible study and interpretation, as well as memorization.
From there, I went through college, and then on to Seminary, where I gained a Masters of Divinity. I am familiar with Biblical Greek and Hebrew, but am not fluent enough to teach them. I have worked with MS-DOS ever since I started using computers in 1994. It used to be a powerful backbone system, but in later versions of Windows is less and less important.

I have used Microsoft Windows products since my first computer came installed with Windows 3.11. I am very familiar with 95, 98 and XP, and my current computer has Vista.
I can help you navigate your way around all of these operating systems, as well as Windows 7, especially if you are just starting out on the road to loving computers and the helpful tools they are.

Microsoft Publisher

I can help you with Microsoft Publisher. It is a great program for producing booklets, bulletins, papers, and more. It has some awesome features that make it way more useful than Word.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need.
