Students will learn the basic principles and procedures of accounting practices. Sessions will include the accounting system, recording and summarizing business and financial transactions and analyzing, verifying, and reporting the results.
Sessions may take a more in-depth look if the need arises.
Currently, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and when pursuing my MBA (Masters Business Administration), I graduated Summa Cum Laude. Previously I taught business courses at various colleges and universities.
These sessions will introduce the fundamental knowledge of the term "business" as the world views it today (profit and non-profit). Sessions will also cover the three organizations of business; sole proprietorship, partner and corporations as well as how they affect the economy.
This topic can be taught on a more in-depth scale if need be.
As a tutor, I will cover the analysis of production; income; consumption; distribution of national wealth, money and banking; and domestic and international problems.
I am currently a substitute teacher for Clayton County Public Schools and have the ability to tutor children from Pre-K through 6th grade. My approach with this age group is to be very gentle as I know that they want to excel as much as their parents do but need a little assistance.
Many times our young ones lack confidence which keeps them from doing their best. It is my intention to help to boost that confidence and teach them to strive for higher expectations.
Before relocating to Atlanta, I had the opportunity to teach and tutor basic math with jr. college students. This math would be very similar to the math taught in elementary schools today. I feel that I am very capable (and reliable) to assist grade school students in this area.
In these sessions you would learn all of the basic components of the computer. You would also learn a few shortcuts. Microsoft Office would be introduced but not expounded upon.

I have the ability to introduce the basic functions of marketing concepts which include (but are not limited to) the marketing mix (product, price, place & promotion), marketing opportunities, the needs and wants of the consumer and how it effects our economy.

I have previously worked as a computer lab assistant at Roosevelt University and taught business courses at various colleges and universities.

Sessions will include both basic and accelerated functions for creating a presentation.
I have more than 25 years of experience using Microsoft Windows and feel that I am very qualified to assist others in this area.
In these sessions the student will be taught the basic fundamentals of using Windows. Sessions will include (but are not limited to) opening and closing programs as well as how to use the Internet.
Sessions will include the basic functions of using a word processor.
Before relocating to Georgia I had the opportunity to teach at several colleges and universities. Proofreading and grading college papers was a big part of my profession.
In these sessions I will not only proofread papers, I will offer constructive criticism that will enable to student to make corrections and possibly receive higher grades.
I have basic knowledge in sewing as well as embroidery. I have sewn simple things such as blankets & jackets for my children, bridesmaids' gowns for a wedding and my daughter's prom dress.
Working as an Adjunct College Professor has provided me with the ability to assist students with research and writing by promoting preliminary thinking and planning, gathering resources, writing a rough draft and how to cite your resources.
Sessions will conclude with revising, editing and proofreading.
