ACT Math
ACT Math is a collection of pre-algebra, elementary algebra, intermediate algebra, geometry, and trigonometry; basically all the courses that should have been taking by the end of the eleventh grade year.
Algebra 1
Expanding basic algebra concepts in understanding linear equations. This course also focuses on simplifying expressions, solving equations and inequalities, using numerical representations, along with graphical representations and algebraic notation.
Algebra 2
Algebra 2/3 develops advanced algebra skills such as systems of equations, advanced polynomials, imaginery and complex numbers, quadratics, and concepts and includes the study of trigonometric functions, logarithmic and exponential equations, and introduces matrices and their properties.
Elementary Math
Elementary math is basic computation skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. Also focus on working with fractions, greatest common factors, least common multiples, and primes. There is some introduction of geometry and algebra as well.
GED
The GED Mathematics Test assesses an understanding of mathematical concepts such as problem-solving, analytical, and reasoning skills; focuses on Numbers Operations and Number Sense, Measurement and Geometry, Data Analysis, probability, and algebra.
Geometry
Geometry focuses on the comparisons between geometric figures such as triangles, polygons, circles, and parallelograms concerning surface areas, volumes, congruency, similarity, transformations, and coordinate Geometry.
Grammar
Areas to be covered may include: use and choice of verb tense, generic and specific nouns, modal verbs, conditionality, word formation, prepositions, comparison, and sentence structure.
Prealgebra
Pre-algebra builds upon mathematical skills like fractions, decimals, percents, positive and negative integers and rational numbers; with additional advanced computation using ratios, proportions, and solving algebraic equations and word problems.
SAT Math
SAT math focuses on the ability to reason quantitatively, solve mathematical problems, and interpret data presented in graphical form. Master Arithmetic, college algebra, functions, geometry, data analysis, and SAT Math will be easy.
