Dear Parent(s)
Hello! My name is Kerrie and my goal is to work side by side with your son/daughter’s in enhancing his or her Language Arts, Writing and Leadership skills. I am a graduate student from Ashford University. I earned my Master Degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology with Specialization in Educational Leadership from Ashford University. In addition, I have an undergraduate degree in Business Management from National-Louis University. I just completed my first year as a doctoral student at Argosy University; where I am pursuing my doctorate in Educational Leadership. My long-term goal is to become either an elementary or middle school principal or a consultant for the Georgia Department of Education, where I can be an influential role model for so many young students who do not have that positive male leader in their lives.
This is a very exciting time for me as I look forward to beginning a new school year with your child as my student! I am eager and prepared to get into the classroom and learn along with your child. As a student for most of my life, my studies have been a priority for me. However, as an individual, I have found time for other activities. I enjoy doing all kinds of sports, as well as writing stories, motivational speaking, and mentoring young people. I try to spend a significant portion of my time exercising and developing my mindset. I have had the privilege of working with a diverse group of people in various environments. These experiences have been amazing opportunities to learn more about other cultures, traditions, and people. Nevertheless, I understand and value the diversity that makes us “the world.”
This understanding of diversity goes with me as I come into the Language Arts and writing classroom with your child or children. I am very excited and eager to spend the school year recognizing and appreciating your son/daughter’s unique contribution to the curriculum. I hope that the classroom will be a place of learning, challenging, and growing both for me and for your son/daughter. I value your partnership in this endeavor.
Warmest regards,
Kerrie
