Hi -- It's always seemed that academic work has been enjoyable for me, and after working in another field, I realized that I wanted to be in the classroom! So I switched from an office job to a teaching job. That in turn eventually led to some tutoring work that I've done in grammar and math. But I still substitute teach occasionally and feel that it helps me to keep in touch with students. I hope I can help you with any math you have; anywhere up to pre-algebra level (or maybe even algebra 1). Also, grammar and other areas of English are subjects I can help with. Let's figure it out!

Prealgebra

I have always enjoyed this type of work and I think it helps when you find it fun! The best part is knowing that there's only one right answer, and your job is to understand how to find it......once you know the formula, you can find 'em all!

SAT Math

Math has the advantage of having only one right answer.......it's all a matter of knowing what formula to apply!!

GED

The GED math portion is all about middle school and high school math, and it's pretty much a cross-section of the subject content. There's nothing too specialized in this one. When you cook you use it, when you sew, or measure and cut anything, you'll be using this information. Let's figure it out!!

Elementary Math

I feel that my strongest area of understanding is in math up to and including pre-algebra and algebra I. The foundation that leads to the understanding of formulas and equations used in math at that level is where I can help a student. Let's give it a try!! R.L.

Elementary (K-6th)

I've taught 2nd, 5th and 6th grade as a full-time classroom teacher. In addition, I've tutored at this grade level, both in person and online. Currently, I'm also substitute teaching at this grade level. This age group is one that I seem to especially enjoy!

Macintosh

I have 10+ years of experience installing and maintaining mac computers of my own and for multiple clients. Basic installs, backups, setup, reconfigure, app installs, printers etc. can all be addressed.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
