Greetings to all!
My name is Stephanie (formerly Stefania, but it was changed to Stephanie when I moved to the U.S. from Rome, Italy). I am a college graduate with a B.A. in Philosophy and a Minor in Creative Writing for Georgia College & State University. During college I got to waive the program's foreign language requirement by passing a C.L.E.P. test for Italian.
As a tutor I am very patient and I believe firmly in a balance between repetition, and implementation of new methods as needed by my student. Everyone learns differently and it is my job as tutor to find out which way works best on an individual basis. I also suggest other venues for becoming better acquainted with, and more comfortable with the language such as some of my favorite Italian movies, songs, etc...
My advantage is that, as the daughter of an Italian Air Force Pilot, I was privileged to live in Rome, Italy for 10 years of my life before moving to Georgia. My entire childhood education was in Italian, and I still count numbers, days of the week, and months in Italian in my head.
