Hello! My name is Jasmine and I am currently a graduate student at UGA. I received my bachelor's degree in mathematics in 2011. While matriculating at my undergraduate college, I peer tutored in Algebra, PreCalculus, Calculus, Trigonometry, Geometry, Probability and Statistics, Discrete mathematics, GACE math prep, and GRE math prep. I have extensive knowledge of and a passion for mathematics and tutoring. My tutoring method involves patience, efficiency, and comprehension. I like to use real world examples and applications. I think that everyone has the ability to learn math and grasp numerical concepts, with the right guidance. I look forward to helping all potential students succeed.

Algebra 1

I have tutored in Algebra for the past 8 years. I am very comfortable with and knowledgeable of the subject. I have been an algebra peer tutor in high school, college, and mentorship programs outside of school. With Algebra, I like to use real world examples and sayings to help remember concepts.

Algebra 2

Algebra 2 covers mostly logarithms, imaginary numbers, and polynomials. I have three-plus years of experience tutoring and learning the subject.

Geometry

I have been tutoring students in Geometry for about three years. I am very comfortable with the subject and consider it one of my specialties in terms of mathematics.

Prealgebra

I have some textbooks and supplemental material on Prealgebra to help students. I have been tutoring in Prealgebra and related subjects for about 6 years now.

Trigonometry

I have 5 years of experience tutoring Trig students, and supplemental material for the subject.

SAT Math

Test for high school students entering college. I have taken this test, own supplemental materials regarding the test, and have recieved high marks.

GRE

This is a test geared towards college students, that covers material from the matriculation at his/her university. I have taken this test myself and have reviewed the material in order to help others.

GED

Although I have not taken the GED, since I recieved a high school diploma, I have reviewed the material on the test. I am prepared to help students with information from the test.

ACT Math

Compiled to test basic skills in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Probability.

Elementary Math

Basic skills that everyone will need to know in the future. Best masters with practice and patience.

Elementary Science

Science facts that are taught in elementary schools across the country. I have 3 years of tutoring and peer mentoring students in these areas.

Discrete Math

I have taken courses specifically in discrete mathematics and I feel very knowledge and comfortable in regards to the subject matter.
