My name is Belinda L. I am 51 years old and am the mother of three. My oldest is a freshman in college. My daughter is a senior in high school. and my youngest is ten years old. I love teaching as it is my chosen profession. Although a great deal of my experience is with teaching students with disabilities, I am also well versed at helping students prepare for the SAT and ACT and with regular education subjects.
I am an experienced Special Education teacher, middle grades level. I hold two masters degrees. One is in Special Education, the other in Community Counseling. I am currently working on my Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have applied to the doctorate program in Curriculum and Instruction.
I am certified in a number of areas including Special Education (adapted curriculum and general). I am also certified in ESOL and all subject areas of middle grades including (Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies).
I can teach regular education and am well versed in most of the subject material for 6th, 7th and 8th grades. I have a LOT of experiences with students with disabilities namely Autism. Aspergers, and mild intellectual disabilities.
I am also certified in elementary education and have experience teaching fifth grade.
I would also feel competent preparing students for the SAT or ACT in Reading, Vocabulary and anything language arts related.
I am willing to take tutoring jobs in most areas of Gainesville or Hall County. I would also consider traveling to Cumming, Dawsonville or Dahlonega. I am willing to come to your home or meet you in a central location.
