I have been tutoring/teaching for over ten years. I have worked with every learning type and I have experience with special needs students. I am co owner of a private school, so I stay current with public and private school curricula. I also work with students to obtain better scores on SAT, ACT and ASVAB. I have experience teaching students for the CRCT and GHSGT as well. I work with all ages from 4 to adult. I love what I do and I really enjoy seeing my students excel. If you are homeschooling I am an accredited teacher so I can help you gain credits towards your diploma. I am an approved testing proctor and administrator for the IOWA Basic Skills Test so if you have testing needs I can help with those as well. Phonics

I believe this is the most effective reading program I have encountered. If I encounter an older student that can not go back to the basics, I have created an alternate way to apply Abeka's system of learning for those who are older. Special Needs

I have worked with children that are Dyslexic, suffer from ADHD, ADD, and are Autistic. I have a degree in Child Psychology specializing in testing and counseling. I currently own and operate a school which assists students and parents with these needs. I have ten years of experience working with a variety of special needs situations.

ADD/ADHD

I currently work with many students that are diagnosed with having ADD/ADHD and I have had much success in working with them and teaching them. I have a degree in Child Psychology allowing me to understand the workings of the child who struggles with this. I utilize what I know to individually teach students in ways that make sense to them.

Linear Algebra

I am currently an owner/teacher of a small private school where I am the math teacher for Algebra. I also spend most of my spare time teaching students Algebra and Algebra II for standardized test preparations. I have extensive knowledge and experience in this area. I use many different techniques and textbooks to teach this subject due to the varying ways students need to approach math in general.
