Dionne V.

Hello, I am Dionne V., and I look forward to working with you, the student, to improve skills and knowledge in the subject area of need.

I like to teach young people because I can adapt my teaching to fit their learning style. I understand various stages of development and learning and like to challenge students.

I have an up and coming sixth grader and I, as always, participate with the school PTA as Vice President. I have a degree in Psychology with a minor in Management in addition; I have a Master’s degree in Management.

For the last few years, in addition to volunteering at the local elementary school library, I taught college students Communication.

I began tutoring in fourth grade in Colorado Springs. I went to the kindergarten and first grade class and helped the students learn to write, and to help the teacher’s grade papers. Later, I tutored college students in Algebra at a local college in Colorado Springs.

My goals in teaching and tutoring are to assist, motivate, and encourage students to learn more about themselves and their unique learning talents. I hope to share new, interesting methods and tricks to make learning more effortless.
