I am a dedicated and effective certified teacher that has been teaching for five years. I attended Emory University undergraduate and graduate and received a Master´s in elementary education (K-6). I truly believe that all individuals are capable of learning, giving the proper opportunities and resources. In my current teaching position, I have been given and started numerous projects that benefited the school and community, including starting an art club, journalism club, heading the management of the school website and heading the Academic Bowl team.
I am qualified to teach K-6 Math, Social Studies and Reading, but am apt enough to help adult learners. I am very well-rounded; aside from receiving a Masters from Emory University, I have experience in art, basic computer skills, web design, writing and am moderately fluent in French. My style of tutoring includes extensive one-on-one instruction that allows the student to learn in order to be capable of handling the material or task independently in the future. I am skilled at determining the needs of the student and have proven abilities in problem solving, people management and motivation.
