Hi there, friends call me Zee.
While I am currently in the Music Business, producing/catering concerts in Birmingham, my love to teach/tutor music has always driven me to stay with performing. I have a B.S. in Music Industry with required me to be proficient in Music Theory, Aural Skills, Sight Reading, Vocal Training as well as Piano. I was part of a tutoring group in college. We would all get together and bounce theories and history off each other. It was a very chill process of learning and it really helped.
I am prepared to tutor students in Beginning/Intermediate Music Theory, Aural Skills/Sight Reading, Beginning/Intermediate Voice and even 1 and 2 species Counterpoint and Part writing. I have a "hands-on" approach but it's not too overbearing. These worksheets are supposed to be fun! We will be learning on the board as well as on the piano so as when the student takes higher education, he/she will have a head start in both.
Music is one of the most enjoyable experiences in life. I believe in making it easy to understand though, sometimes, I know it's not. I believe in working together to find the way the student learns the best and capitalizing on it so the experience is fulfilling and fun.
