My name is Frank, and I am happy to assist you!
I graduated from Kent State University with a Master's degree in History (I majored in history and political science as an undergraduate student at Central State University), and I am currently an instructor at
Georgia Perimeter College where I've been teaching both World and American History for five years. As part of my work I help prepare students for the Regents Exam and introduce effective ways to study history and write expository essays.
Besides teaching college, I also have a lot of work experience as a substitute teacher at all grade levels and have served as a long-term substitute teacher at the high school level.
In general, I favor a "hands-on" approach to teaching that involves a lot of interaction between the tutor and student, and concrete experiences in addition to worksheets. However, my specific methods vary according to the subject being taught and the learning style of the student.
I look forward to hearing from you!
