I received an MBA (Management - with honors) from Xavier University.

I have worked for large corporations such as General Electric and have been President of two corporations.

General Computer

I can explain and operate all computer devices. I have taught all basic computer subjects at DeVry University including programming, operating systems, applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.).

Geometry

I teach Geometry as a part of beginning math and Algebra. It is a science with which I am very familiar due to my education as an engineer and as a former Naval officer who practiced solid geometry in the real world. Let me show you how to relate numbers and figures to the real world, you will learn more quickly.

Marketing

I received an MBA (Management - with honors) from Xavier University.

I have worked for large corporations such as General Electric as a senior manager/Vice President in Marketing, Product Development and Operations.

I also have been President of two corporations.

For the past 20 years I have been teaching at DeVry University. I have taught many Marketing courses including Basic and Advance Marketing, Salesmanship, Market Research and Market Planning.

Microsoft Access

I have worked with database systems since the old days using hierarchical database models and later relational models. I had a software company which worked with companies in data base development.

In the last 15 years I have been teaching data modeling and application programs such as MicroSoft Access at DeVry University. I have taught more than 20 classes in the application.

Microsoft Excel

I have taught Excel and other Microsoft applications for 20 years. I also was President of a software development company.

Microsoft PowerPoint

I received an MBA (Management - with honors) from Xavier University. I worked for large corporations such as General Electric and founded and served as President of my own manufacturing company.

For the past 20 years I have been lecturing courses at DeVry University. In addition, for the past ten years I have been lecturing on cruise ships around the world.

In all of these activities I have created and presented PowerPoint presentations.

Approved Subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet certified in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
