Hi All,

My name is Valerie. I love helping people maximize their skills and achieve success in all personal, educational, and other goals!

My General Qualifications -

I have worked as a tutor for pre-k, elementary, middle, and high school students as well as college students and adult learners for the past 10 years both voluntarily and professionally. I also have experience working with children and adults who have special needs and/or require different lesson plans or methods.

For Early Learners -

I am qualified to work as a Paraprofessional in and outside of the school systems, and hold an Associate's degree in early childhood education. When working with younger student and/or students with special needs, I like to incorporate various techniques such as art, song, rhyme, and game into lesson plans. I believe that positive reinforcement and motivation are a crucial components to learning and that negativity blocks education and prosperity. I also make every attempt to cater lesson plans in order to utilize and incorporate individual interests and activities. I am skilled and experienced in tutoring many subject areas of adult learning, higher learning, study skills, and test-prep. My Basic Tutoring Approach -

My basic teaching/tutoring philosophy is one of using the personal learning style strengths of each individual to cater a lesson plan that will maximize learning and retention ability. I am very patient and non-judgmental, yet very determined and goal oriented.

I take great pride in and dedicate myself to everything and everyone I devote my time to. I take on the obligations and goals of those I assist with the same dedication and devotion I would my own. I will help you - or your child - reach the educational and/or developmental goals you strive for. Together, we will overcome whatever obstacles are holding back progress. I feel that my rates are low compared to many other available tutors. This is because I truly love helping people of all ages achieve their goals. I am constantly patient and positive, while remaining dedicated to personal and educational goals and growth. I am also qualified to work as a paraprofessional by the state of GA.

I have worked with many students with ADD/ADHD and had great success in helping each to maximize their personal and educational skills. I have a great understanding of ADD/ADHD and the common issues which arise in the life and education of these students. When working with students, I am constantly patient and positive while remaining dedicated to goals and growth.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
