I am a highly adaptive teacher, and I take pleasure in learning students’ weakness to help improve their overall learning skills. While learning is important, I advise students that success is not only achieved in the classroom but in life as well.
My tutoring specialties, at this point, mostly include such math areas as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, Calculus, SAT Math and ACT Math preparation. I work with students ranging from 5th grade to college level mathematics.
My calling to be an educator started when I was in middle school. I left a public middle school and attended a challenging college-preparatory school where I struggled academically. At first, with the support from my parents, and a private tutor, I was able to focus and gradually improve. Again, my parents provided me with numerous hours of tutoring and I was able to gain admission to Morehouse College. At Morehouse College, I majored in Computer Science with minor in Mathematics.
I did not begin my career as a teacher, but rather began as a computer programmer (Microsoft excel based minor Visual Basic). Unsatisfied with my new job, I found a job as a math tutor for a SES provider (free tutoring for all students with free or reduced lunches). Within a month of tutoring, I was working with ten struggling students. With my own history of struggle and the combination of my success in mathematics, I quickly found some keys to help the students’ struggles of learning mathematical concepts. My students quickly became more successful and I became one of the most requested tutor for the company.
Completely elated with my success, I created a non-profit organization called Neo Networks. Neo Networks became a company that fosters the development of the whole child, especially in the area of computer literacy and mathematics. These skills, also stimulated the desire for life-long learning, intellectual curiosity, and promotes individual self-esteem. As the CEO, I found partner companies to work with, including the Reef Center, DeKalb Workforce, Job Corps, and Clarkston Community center. Neo Networks set out to help students of all ages in the area of computer literacy and mathematics. Realizing my love for education, I decided to improve myself by enrolling in a graduate program at Georgia State University in Math Secondary Education. I changed my career path, from computer programmer to a high school math teacher.
On December 2013, I graduated with a Masters in Secondary Education and after four years at my first high school, I finally moved to Parkview High school in Lilburn Georgia. Over the last 8 years, I have mentored, tutored, and taught students of all kinds (even home-schooled students). With in the past year I opened a tutoring center where I tutor students in small groups. I create no more than five to one ratios to maintain focus and personal interactions with each student. I am a highly adaptive teacher, and I take pleasure in learning students’ weakness to help improve their overall learning skills. While learning is important, I advise students that success is not only achieved in the classroom but in life as well.

Jason is a very patient. He is currently helping my son with algebra and geometry. He is very thorough and makes sure that my son clearly understands all math concepts presented. If you are looking for a great tutor, contact Jason!
Jason was able to get my son on par with his ninth grade class within one 2 hour session. My son really benefited from the one on one instruction and was able to really grasp and apply the concepts quickly. Amazing and awesome experience!
I am very pleased with Jason. My son said that he is learning and information he forgot or didn't understand...he now knows and understands.
Jason is an extremely patient and nurturing tutor. He uses a hand-on approach with his students which makes them accept responsibility for their learning and understanding concepts.
Jason is an excellent tutor. He is very support, he is also a great mentor. He is very eager for you to learn and he provides the tools to make that possible.
Jason is an excellent tutor. Very patient and understanding of Treshonte's needs. He developed and reinforced the same concept with his style as well as the parent style of teaching to reinforce the material. This shows consistency and continuity. I am very impressed.
I first came to Jason failing my statics class. After two tutoring sessions, my grade increased to a B. Jason, is awesome at explaining problems to make them easy to understand. He also gave me several resources to further my learning ability in the class. I would highly recommend him as a tutor.
My son had a tutoring session with Jason a few weeks ago. I observed during the lesson and could see my son's eyes light up as he began to understand the concepts of each problem. Jason is an awesome tutor! We will continue to work with him.
Jason F is an awesome tutor. He's very patient and kind, he has tutored my daughter for three months and I saw a big difference in her arithmetic reasoning problems. I definitely recommend him to future students.
Jason worked well with my son. In one hour he realized what my son was not picking up on. My son's math average literally increased 18% after having Jason's help. Highly recommended.
Jason has taken the mystery out of math by breaking it down. He always exhibits patience in addition to providing tips and tricks. His assistance has increased my peace of mind and I feel like my son is back on track!
Very good tutor. Was patient and super helpful as well as detailed oriented. Location served well for learning seeing that it was a class room. I would return again.
Been out of school for a while. Jason is a patient person. I feel so confident that I will pass the GED math this time. Very great choice I made. He doesn't make math seem like it's so hard, so once you get the concept its easy. I highly recommend Jason for you next tutor.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taught all math subjects in the last 5 years.
I have taught algebra for the last 8 years as a tutor and 6 years as a teacher.
I made an A when I took Linear Algebra on a Graduate level at Georgia State University. I have been teaching 9th grade mathematics for the last three years and part-time as a Math Adjunct teacher at ITT-Tech.
In order to teach high school you have to take the Praxis or the Gace exam. I passed these exams in order to become a high school teacher. I currently have been teaching 9th grade mathematics for the last three years and I also teach part-time as a Math Adjunct teacher at ITT-Tech.
I have taught students in all grade levels from fifth grade to college level math. As a 9th grade teacher, I know I can help him focus on the important concepts as a up and coming high school student.
