I have a very relaxed approach to tutoring because of the stress that is inherent in the exam taking and preparation process.

My first experience with teaching was as a Peer Counselor in the Queens College Office of Academic Advisement between 1985 and 1988. This experience provided an opportunity to guide other students on a variety of campus life issues, such as the registration and class selection process, adjusting to college life, note and test taking, as well as providing counseling advice on sensitive personal issues affecting a students academic success.

As a student in Touro Law Center, I was selected as a Teaching Assistant in the Legal Education Access Program (L.E.A.P), and acted in this role for 2 years- (1993 and 1994). As a Teaching Assistant, I had the responsibility of preparing fellow law students to research legal issues, study for and successfully complete exams and provide general assistance with adjustment to the law school environment to ensure success.

I passed the New York State Bar examination on my first attempt in 1995 and have been a practicing attorney for nearly 16 years. I am currently a member of the New York and Georgia State Bars, and specialize in transactional entertainment law, specifically in music industry transactions. During my law career, I have had the opportunity to gain additional experience as a seminar leader by making oral presentations on the legal aspects of the music industry, which includes a speaking engagement at Nassau Community College as well as engagements as a guest panelist at music industry seminars.

I have also had the opportunity to advise clientele beyond my general experience as a practicing attorney through my experience as an Of Counsel Attorney with the AV rated law firm of Feldman, Kramer and Monaco in New York. As an Of Counsel Attorney for more than 10 years, I provided telephone advice to thousands of members of the New York Pre Paid Legal Services Plan on a variety of legal areas including Entertainment, Bankruptcy, Family and Workers Compensation law.

I have always enjoyed teaching because I love to communicate and enjoy working with people to achieve their goals. I believe that the key to success in the bar examination is understanding that the bar exam is a mechanical exercise designed to test the efficiency of spotting issues and the ability to develop expertise in the "process of elimination." It is certainly NOT an exercise in displaying how well one can elaborate on every legal theory learned in law school. I feel the key is not to necessarily "think like a lawyer," but rather "think like a robot" to pass the exam and become a lawyer. I look forward to helping as many of you as I can to succeed on the exam. It's not impossible if you have the right approach and a tutor that can guide you through the preparation maze.
