I have a lifelong passion for helping children learn and reach their full potential. In 1983, I graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Elementary Education, and I have spent the years since teaching at the grade school, high school, and college level. As an elementary teacher for over twenty years, I recognize the need for teaching strong, phonics-based reading skills, foundational study habits, and memorization techniques. I also work hard to implement an exciting, fun approach to education. For the last eight years, I have operated a homeschool co-op, where I have worked closely with each student, helping children and teenagers (some with special needs) to better understand their class work and excel in each area of study. I enjoy working with children and teens in and out of the classroom; for the last thirty-five years, I have also been heavily involved in Children's Ministries at the local churches I have attended. I look forward to helping your child discover the joy of learning!
