Hello, I am a teacher who is willing to help your child succeed in school. I work at several schools as a substitute teacher. In this role, I have the opportunity to work with students from kindergarten to high school.
As a tutor, I use different tools and techniques to help the students learn, as I like to make my lessons fun and interesting. I will be in constant contact with you, the parent, on how I feel the student is progressing and what I think they need to work on. I also will be in contact with their teachers to see what we can do to help them as a team.
Thank you for your interest in me. I hope that I have the opportunity to work with you and your child in the future.

I am so glad that I found her. She helped my child to pass all of the CRCTs for promotion to third grade. I have utilized her services for the past two years and my child's teachers have told me that they have seen a vast improvement. She is flexible, encouraging, and constantly in search of new materials and methods that can help my child. I appreciate her greatly!
Great tutor for my son. She understand what he needs help with and focuses on that particular area. My son is not the most talkative person so to have someone that is patient is wonderful.
Angie B. has been helping my daughter for three sessions now and she is enjoying her experience. My daughter is eager to get started on her homework. Angie B. is connecting with her very good. I am happy because my daughter is happy.
Angie makes social studies fun. My twin girls age 9 usually do not like social studies. Angie tells stories, shows pictures, maps and video clips that make social studies interesting. I recommend Angie highly.
Mrs. Angie was a wonderful tutor to my 11 year old son. She was patient and caring. She has a sense of humor and was able to relate to him. I could tell that he really liked her after the first session. With her help, he passed his CRCT test and moved up two grade levels in math. She helped him learn how to work through problems and figure out answers in reading and math.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I am a former Substitute Teacher and worked with two school systems in Indiana for past three years. I've had the opportunity to work with students who have a wide variety of special needs. I have learned that working with those children takes patience and a heart for them. I have been around special needs children and adults my whole life. I have two cousins that have special needs; one who is mentally handicapped and one that is both mentally and physically handicapped. I also have a stepson who has a mild mental disability and ADHD. I also am a person who has overcame some learning disabilities.
I am a person that has learning disabilities and with that I have learned skills that helped me overcome them in my schooling career. I feel that with what I have overcome I can pass my knowledge on to students. Also being a teacher and substitute I have a wealth of information and materials that can help children.
