I am a recent college graduate from the University of Georgia, where I majored in Ecology. Ecology is very similar to biology, except it focuses more on the ecological aspect of the natural world. I hope to return to college and take the two additional classes it would take to attain a degree in Biology as well (that is how similar the ecology and biology degree programs are). For now, I have been adamantly seeking work and engaging in resume-building activities such as internships and volunteering. I am an intern at the Georgia Nature Center in Watkinsville, which is an animal rescue facility ran by Jeff Gold. I care for special needs boxer dogs, many of whom require special diets and/or supplements, and take them on pack walks. I also volunteer with my former supervisor, Dr. Jacqueline Mohan, at her ecological research site in Whitehall Forest in Athens. I was a very good student, especially in science. College level coursework includes biology (2), organic chemistry, biochemistry, ecology (3), conservation biology, genetics, entomology (study of insects, 2 classes), dendrology (study of woody plants and trees), Calculus I/II, and statistics. I am very eagerly seeking work, and given the opportunity, I would be a very energetic, patient, and enthusiastic tutor.
