My name is William and one of my gifts that I have is teaching people or helping people with whatever problem they may have. I am an Eagle Scout from Boy Scouts Troop 24 in Cornelia. My hobbies are watching wrestling, football, and basketball. I have been playing my trumpet for about 19 years--pretty much ever since 6 grade. I have a special way of getting kids to learn about whatever subject they need help on. I am strong in elementary math to pre-algebra, strong in elementary grammar to high school grammar, strong in playing trumpets and drums, and I am pretty strong in American History and US Geography.
I have been tutoring my brother for about 2 years now, and right now he is passing all of his classes. I have also been helping him with his trumpet playing and he has gotten pretty good for being a rookie. I have also taught my other brother who has Autism and he is a great trumpet player. I would love to have a chance to put my tutoring services to work for anybody that needs help with playing their brass instrument or their subjects. To tell you up front, I am weak in science and in foreign languages.
When I was about 10 or 12 I played for the Little League and I was very good at baseball. Now, I am coaching baseball and teaching kids about sportsmanship and how to play the game for instance hitting the ball, throwing the ball, and catching the ball.
I played basketball when I was about 12 years old and I loved it. So now I am teaching kids the rules of the game like how to rebound, shoot, and how to play defense.
I can teach people how to use their ears when they are playing their instruments. See using your hears when playing any kind of instrument allows you know how to tune your instrument and get the right pitch that you want to play. I have a few tricks that teaches people how to tune their own instrument with out using a tuner even though they are playing with a different instrument.
I have been around kids for a long time matter of my mother use to be a foster parent and a day care director. When she was the director I was also the after school programmer meaning I planned some of the activities that the kids would do that day after they have finished their homework which I was able to tutor them may not have gotten paid, but I helped them pass their tests and their grade level.
English was one of my best subjects in school
I have never played football on a school team or recreation but I do however play football for fun and I do get to teach my teammate on how to run the routes, how to throw the ball, and how to catch the ball. I am also a good teacher when it comes to tackling people.
I have been playing the trumpet for over 14 years and I have also taught my two brothers how to play the instrument which one of them is autism. Playing the trumpet is a hard thing learn for beginners but with lots and lots of practice a player can get better at it.I also play the trumpet for my church as well in fact my brothers and I play pretty much every 4 months including the holidays.
