I am a certified teacher with over ten years of experience. I have been a classroom teacher for grades K-8, including special education and gifted students. I have tutored high school and college students in writing and reading skills. I am a trained rater for the Georgia Writing Assessments and also for a national writing test.

I have two years of experience in teaching GED courses and study skills and one year of experience teaching ESL to adults.

I love working with students of all ages and ability levels to improve their understanding and to help them do well in school. I would love to work with you to make your educational experience be the best it can be!

I hold a T-5 Teaching Certificate in the state of Georgia in Elementary Education. I have taught special education grades K-8 and general elementary students in grades 3-6.

Phonics

I am certified in teaching reading to grades K-8. This includes phonics instruction. I have experience in teaching grades K-6, including teaching phonics.

Study Skills

I taught specific study skills to student in grades K-12 as a teacher for Sylvan Learning Centers when I was in college. I also taught study skills as a specific subject to special education students as a teacher. I taught study skills to adults and teenagers as a GED teacher and an Employability Skills teacher at a community college.
