As a teacher in the community, I'm pleased to bring my training and expertise to tutoring especially in elementary education. It is a thrill to work one-on-one with individuals or small groups who need a little support to reach their educational goals. I am an elementary school teacher, but can help in various subjects for middle school and adult learners. I am working towards my master degree at Kennesaw State in Special needs and ESOL education.
Currently, I work as a first grade teacher at a language school. In the past have worked with at-risk students in my local school district, helping them with math concepts. I am able to help my students with instruction in different kinds of knowledge, such as real-life practical examples and simulations. I create multiple paths so that students of different abilities, interest or learning needs experience equally appropriate ways to absorb, use, develop and present concepts as a part of the daily learning process. I allow students to take greater responsibility and ownership for their learning.
I am an experienced, professional, and qualified private tutor that assists students in homework help, review of classroom material, test and exam preparation for the class, as well as study and organization skills. I am also available to help students who are home-schooled. Usually, I only tutor with one subject at a time, but can help various subjects for slightly higher fee.
Cancelling a Lesson:
I know that there are emergencies that come up, but I require a phone call and a 24 hour advanced notice for canceling. Please do not send an email or text message me. I do not have access to the internet all day and I do not have text messaging. Please call me and leave a message for a cancelled lesson. Thank you and I appreciate your time and consideration.
Tutoring rates are subject to change based on content, needs of student, weekend tutoring and group tutoring.
