In addition to decades of business experience, I have over 15 years of experience teaching, tutoring, and coaching students from age 5 to adults primarily in the subjects of Math and English. I am a former member of MENSA and a published author. I have tutored and coached baseball on an individual basis and for teams. I am a member of the UNLV Athletic Hall of Fame in baseball. I have also made a living for several years playing poker (a practical use of math and observation skills).

All of the teaching/tutoring/coaching that I do is very much "hands on". I have "been there and done that", and I've found the best way to learn is by doing as long as you are doing it right. That's where I come in. Practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect. I also make things easier to learn by getting into the mind of the student to know how they relate to the subject and finding the right way to communicate the knowledge.

Logic

In laymen's terms, logic is the process by which one arrives at a conclusion given certain facts or observations. Used in Philosophy and Mathematics, logic tends to rely on given facts and hopefully result in accurate conclusions. However, in life, very little is absolute. Inferences must be made based on observation and experience. Conclusions tend to be judged as successful/unsuccessful rather than as accurate. Successful conclusions are achieved through the accurate interpretation of these inferences.

I have a background in both disciplines. I have a Master's Degree in Management Information Systems and am a former member of MENSA. Both required the mastery of absolutes. However, I have also made my living as a poker player in Las Vegas. That required the successful interpretation of probabilities, tendancies, and subtle nuances that revealed the hidden.
