Hello, my name is Ericka! In May 2007, I graduated with my Associates of Science Degree in Social Work from Georgia Perimeter College in Dunwoody, GA. This past August 2011 I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Management degree from the University of Phoenix with a 3.82 GPA. I made the decision to further my education by attending the Northcentral University to obtain my M.Ed. - Organizational Leadership (OL) because of my motivation for life and knowledge. MOS Certified: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Publisher.
I was born with a form of Muscular Dystrophy called Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease. I was diagnosed at the age of two and I have been fully dependent on the use of a power wheelchair for thirteen years now. At a young age, my mother taught me how to be self-sufficient and independent. I never let my disability stand in the way of overcoming any obstacle. I enjoy empowering younger and older individuals on organizational and leadership skills. I really like working with elementary school students with English, reading, writing, communication and study skills. My passion in life is helping others succeed, especially the disabled and special needs community, at their individual life and educational goals!
