I worked my way up from an after school activity leader to a classroom teacher. I have always loved helping students learn. The best moments for me come when my students finally get what they have struggled with. I am certified to teach in Florida and will become certified in GA after we get settled in. I have Elementary K-6, ESE K-12, and ESOL Endorsement on my certification. I am wife of a Soldier and currently live on post. I look forward to helping students in Augusta and the Surrounding Areas.

I can help with homework and any subjects that students need extra support in. I can also provide additional practice problems to help student remain current with their studies.

Reading

I can help with reading comprehension and how to decode questions. I have taught strategies for 10+ years. I can assist students in proven techniques to help organize their thinking skills.

Elementary (K-6th)

Teaching Certificate in K-6, took classes to learn effective ways to teach core subjects. I also taught students in K-5 for past five years.

Phonics

Teaching Certificate have taught phonics for the past 10+ years. I can help students at different levels and I have lots of hands on activities to enhance the lesson.

Study Skills

Teaching Certificate in K-6 and ESE. I have been helping students to get organized and learn how to take tests for 10+ years. I know different strategies to help students increase test scores. I have worked with ESE students helping them acquire the skills necessary to process information and recall it later. I can show students how to analyze questions to direct them to most reasonable answer choices.

Special Needs

Teaching Certificate in ESE. Have taught various levels of students with learning disabilities as well as autism for 10+. I understand how to treat each student on an individual basis to meet their needs; worked with students in mainstream and self-contained settings.

ADD/ADHD

I have Special Education on Teaching Certificate and have taught students with both ADD/ADHD labels. I am aware of how to use Education Plans to help students. I can help them organize and manage their time.
