I'm a full time mechanical engineering professor at Georgia Tech during the week and I tutor students on the weekend. I've been teaching for a few years and have received excellent reviews from my students, because I'm very good at keeping things interesting by using videos and demonstrations that cater to students with different learning styles. I'm good at explaining complicated concepts in simple ways with analogies and examples that non-scientists can relate to easily. I'm very friendly, personable, relaxed and I'm very good at observing and determining what you're struggling with. My style is to first identify the root of the problem(s) and then develop exercises to help strengthen weaknesses and improve performance. I pride myself on my ability to adapt to any learning style.
In college, I worked at a tutoring center and tutored my peers in engineering classes. I then went on to win numerous awards and fellowships that fully supported my education through my masters and PhD at MIT. While in graduate school I mentored inner city high school students from rough neighborhoods, which is where I really cultivated my passion for helping people. I enjoy tutoring, because I enjoy helping helping people overcome their stumbling blocks and I love helping students develop a true understanding of math and science.
I'm new to the WyzAnt platform and will be flexible to meet your needs. Don't hesitate to contact me and setup an initial session. There's no charge unless you're completely satisfied.
