Hello my name is Mary and if there was a single word that would describe me, most people would say helpful. If you are on this site you may need guidance through the sometimes scary world of data analysis. For the past ten years I have worked in the world of research, creating research projects, managing databases and analyzing data. I have extensive experience with SPSS and data management. I have worked as a research fellow and am now a project coordinator. While working as an NIH fellow, I developed a mixed methods study, which was the basis of my masters thesis. In addition to study development, as a fellow I gained invaluable experience by assisting with administrative task that involved creating EndNote reference databases, conduct literature reviews, writing abstracts, coding narratives, and writing grants. Upon graduation, I became a project coordinator. As coordinator, I assist with formative data collection and evaluation, data management and analysis, and preparing manuscripts for presentation and publication. Finally, I have worked as a SPSS lab professor at the college-level for three years. I created lesson plans, taught over 100 students and oversaw their senior research projects.
Through my academic and professional experiences, I have developed the strengths of being organized, the ability to multi-task, patient, a team player, and flexible. These attributes with the culmination of my academic and professional experiences, would make me an effective tutor.
