I am an ISSA certified personal trainer with a passion for health, strength-building, physique, corrective exercise and muscular balance. I have been fortunate to be learning my craft through a highly skilled strength and conditioning coach, which has given me an edge over the average personal trainer. My goal is to help you reach your goals in this area while coaching you and teaching you correct movement and addressing any needs your body has. There is NOT a one-size-fits-all training program, because each person has individual needs. Also, I strongly believe that coaching is not just about motivating and counting your repetitions.
Do you have lower back pain? Shoulder problems? All these things can likely stem from muscular imbalances and weaknesses within certain muscles. My goal is to educate and help my client correct these imbalances in order to feel better and prevent future injuries.
Are you trying to lose weight? Gain muscle? I don't believe in crash dieting, or hours and hours of cardio. Instead, I will work with my client to provide a plan of attack that aims for long term success, not a quick fix that will reverse itself in the next year.
Before I became extremely passionate about health and wellness, I was an artist first, and always will be. I've worked in graphic design for 10 years +, and have an extreme passion for drawing, illustration, and creativity. My passion has always been the creative aspect of drawing. If you're looking to expand your skills or even just to pick up a new hobby, I would love to develop a plan (or even keep it really casual) for future students. I believe in the balance between skill and creativity. When you know the rules, you can break them!
