Physics and math are difficult subjects and it's easy to become overwhelmed while studying either. Furthermore, memorization is never enough in these classes: rarely does an exam test how well you've memorized formulas. The best way to do well and get the most out of a class is to develop an intuition for the subject. However, this requires a lot of practice and patience, especially for the more mathematical sciences, such as physics. An understanding of physics and math will help you throughout college and likely your working life as well.

I can help you achieve your goals in college physics and math, whether you just want to pass the class or excel in it. I am currently a Physics Ph.D. student at Georgia Tech and have graduated cum laude from Boston University with bachelor's degrees in physics and math. My goal upon graduation is to continue in academia, not just so that I can continue to do research at a university, but so that I can teach. I have found that in my time TAing physics 2211 at Georgia Tech that I enjoy explaining physics to students. I see the ability to teach well as something that is invaluable in my field and it is a skill that I am striving to develop. Thus, my interest in tutoring is driven by more than money: it is for your benefit and my own.

Patience and practice are the keys to succeeding in physics and math classes. I can help get you to where you need to be.

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Physics

I graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor's Degrees in physics and mathematics in 2011. I am currently a physics Ph.D. student at Georgia Institute of Technology and am working towards a career in academia. I have taught recitation sections for an intro-level physics course at Georgia Tech and have enjoyed meeting with students seeking help in the class when they asked for assistance. My research addresses problems in theoretical condensed matter physics and biophysics.
